Tim Cook was born on November 1, 1960, in Robertsdale, Alabama, United States.

He was raised in a small town in Alabama and is the son of a shipyard worker and a homemaker. Tim Cook attended Robertsdale High School and graduated in 1978. He then went on to study industrial engineering at Auburn University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1982.
